Abstract:Semiconductor nanomaterials hold the keys for efficient solar energy harvesting and conversion processes like photocatalysisand photoelectrochemical reactions.In this talk,we will give a brief overview of our recent progress in designing semiconductornanomaterials for photoelectrochemical energy conversionincluding solar hydrogen generation and low-cost solar cells.In more details,we have been focusing on a few aspects;1)photocatalysis mechanism,light harvesting,charge transfer and surface reactionengineering of low-cost metal oxide-based semiconductors including TiO2,BiVO4as efficient photoelectrode for photoelectrochemical hydrogen production;2)the working mechanism and stability improvement of perovskite quantum dots and lead-free tin-based perovskite solar cells;3).The design of ultra-stable composites of perovskite-MOF with improved light emitting performance,photocatalysits.1-9The resultant material systems exhibited efficient photocatalytic performanceand improved power conversion efficiency in solar cells,which underpin sustainable development of solar-energy conversion application.

Lianzhou Wang FAA FTSE is professor and Australian Research Council (ARC) Australian Laureate Fellow in the School of Chemical Engineering,Director of Nanomaterials Centre, and Senior Group Leader of AIBN, at The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia. Hisresearch focuses on the design and application of semiconductor nanomaterials for renewable energy conversion and storage including photocatalysts for solar fuel production, low-cost solar cells and rechargeable batteries. He has published > 600 articles in high quality journals including Science, Nature Energy, Nature Nanotech, and others, and filed >20 patents, receiving >60,000 citations with a H-index of 130. Hewon some prestigious honours/awards including ARC QEII Fellowship (2006), Future Fellowship (2012), Laureate Fellowship (2019) and Industry Laureate Fellowship (2024), Scopus Young Researcher Award, and Research Excellence Award in Chemical Engineering of IChemE. He is elected fellow of the Australian Academy of Science (FAA), Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (FTSE), and Academia Europaea (MAE), and is named on the Clarivate’ Highly Cited Researchers list.
王連洲,澳大利亞昆士蘭大學(xué)化工學(xué)院終身教授,澳大利亞科學(xué)院院士,澳大利亞工程院院士,歐洲科學(xué)院(Academia Europaea)院士,澳大利亞基金委桂冠學(xué)者,昆士蘭大學(xué)納米材料中心主任。主要從事半導(dǎo)體納米材料的合成及其在清潔能源轉(zhuǎn)化與存儲領(lǐng)域,包括光電催化制氫,新型太陽能電池和儲能電池等的應(yīng)用。先后在國際學(xué)術(shù)期刊發(fā)表論文600余篇,專著章節(jié)15部,申請專利20項,論文被引用60,000余次,H因子為130。近年作為主要負(fù)責(zé)人先后承擔(dān)或參與了澳大利亞基金委、澳洲科學(xué)院、以及工業(yè)界等70余項競爭性研究項目。兼任Wiley 出版社EcoEnergy 期刊共同主編,Adv. Mater, National Science Reviews (國家科學(xué)評論)等諸多期刊編委工作。獲得澳洲基金委女王伊麗莎白學(xué)者,未來學(xué)者,桂冠學(xué)者和工業(yè)合作桂冠學(xué)者稱號,昆士蘭大學(xué)研究優(yōu)秀獎及優(yōu)秀研究生導(dǎo)師獎,澳洲尋找未來之星獎,IChemE研究優(yōu)秀獎,多年入選科睿唯安全球高被引作者。
